Idea Line
The IskraIndex: S&P 500 Challenge portfolio grew by 12.7%
The IskraIndex: Bitcoin portfolio grew by 9.2%
The IskraIndex: Gold portfolio grew by 6.0%.
For comparison: Bitcoin fell by 33%, while Gold fell by 6.7%.
Among all portfolios in the Idea line, we would particularly like to highlight the Bitcoin and Gold portfolios, which demonstrated steady growth despite the sharp decline in their underlying assets—namely Bitcoin and Gold themselves. Special attention deserves the Iskra Index: Gold portfolio, whose maximum drawdown over the half-year was 5.2%, compared to 26.5% for Gold itself. The first half of 2026 has become a vivid illustration of the soundness of the Iskra Index approach to managed diversification, which made it possible to avoid a crash in Bitcoin and Gold that would have occurred with direct investment of all or a significant portion of an investor's capital into them.
Another important conclusion that emerges from the collapse in gold prices is that gold can no longer be considered a safe-haven asset, stripping proponents of investing in a single asset of what may be their last remaining argument.
